My brother just about got in 5 minutes before the band came on stage at 8.15. He'd been queuing outside since 1.30. I don't know how many didn't get in or if any Orgers who have been posting today from the queue got in, I do hope so, because there was a free for all when the door opened and loads of people just pushed right in. It would be very unfair if people that have been queuing all day didn't get in because of the selfish ones who turned up at the last minute and pushed their way in.

Electric Ballroom only asked by email at 2pm yesterday if they had free venue for #prince. Heard nothing till 6pm & had 1 hr to get staff

Just got text from my brother:

"We have a good view, and no pushing around us. It is very rocky. Prince is on amazing form with his guitar solos. This really is something special".

Can't believe he only asked for the venue at 2pm. Then again, maybe I can! He's lucky they were able to satisfy his unreasonable demand...only because it's Prince I'd wager.

I'm jealous of those who are enjoying the gig right now..but then I was at Montreux last year so I can handle it.

Yeah, I'm glad he got in too, it's me that nagged him all morning to get him to go! I would have felt awful if he'd queued for so long and then not got in, especially after all the pushing and shoving. Oh well, all's well that ends well, he's in there now enjoying Prince and couldn't be happier.

Thanks to everyone who has been posting info on here. I hope that those of you who queued up got in and had a fab time. Just as exciting as those O2 and Indigo2 concerts, infact more so with all this spontaneity going on!
